In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_log: wait for rcu grace period before freeing pernet state sashiko reports: "nfnl_log_net_exit() calls nf_log_unset(), which clears the logger pointer without an RCU grace period. Immediately after, ops_free_list() frees the per-net state while concurrent packets might still be executing nf_log_packet() under rcu_read_lock()." Clear the pointer via .pre_exit to make sure rcu readers have completed before pernet storage is free'd. The change in nf_log_syslog.c is only done for consistency: it doesn't use pernet data.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked. Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads, so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver implementations, and the emulated path. Two distinct bugs are fixed by this change: Bug 1: smbus_write tracepoint OOB (include/trace/events/smbus.h) trace_smbus_write() fires before any validation and copies data->block[0]+1 bytes into a 34-byte event buffer. With block[0]=0xfe the tracepoint copies 255 bytes, overflowing by 221. BUG: KASAN: stack-out-of-bounds in trace_event_raw_event_smbus_write+0x27c/0x530 Read of size 255 at addr ffff88800d98fcf8 by task poc_smbus/91 Call Trace: <TASK> __asan_memcpy+0x23/0x80 trace_event_raw_event_smbus_write+0x27c/0x530 __i2c_smbus_xfer+0x43a/0xa40 i2c_smbus_xfer+0x19e/0x340 i2cdev_ioctl_smbus+0x38f/0x7f0 i2cdev_ioctl+0x35e/0x680 __x64_sys_ioctl+0x147/0x1e0 do_syscall_64+0xcf/0x15a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e </TASK> Bug 2: i2c-stub I2C_SMBUS_I2C_BLOCK_DATA OOB (drivers/i2c/i2c-stub.c) stub_xfer() implements .smbus_xfer directly and only clamps block[0] against 256-command, not I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: appletalk: fix NULL pointer dereference in aarp_send_ddp() aarp_send_ddp() calls atalk_find_dev_addr(dev) in the LocalTalk fast path without checking for NULL. When the device has no AppleTalk interface configured (dev->atalk_ptr == NULL), this leads to a NULL pointer dereference at the at->s_net access. KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] RIP: 0010:aarp_send_ddp (net/appletalk/aarp.c:552 (discriminator 2)) Call Trace: <TASK> atalk_sendmsg (net/appletalk/ddp.c:1715) __sys_sendto (net/socket.c:2265 (discriminator 1)) __x64_sys_sendto (net/socket.c:2272) do_syscall_64 (arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94) entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe (arch/x86/entry/entry_64.S:121) Add a NULL check consistent with the other callers of atalk_find_dev_addr().
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: embed f2fs_gc_kthread in f2fs_sb_info Instead of allocating f2fs_gc_kthread dynamically, embed it in f2fs_sb_info. This simplifies lifetime management and prepares for fixing race conditions during teardown. - __sbi_store - remount|shutdown - f2fs_stop_gc_thread - access sbi->gc_thread - sbi->gc_thread = NULL - access sbi->gc_thread->f2fs_gc_task
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/pagemap: dma-unmap pages before handling migration errors drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() relies on the pages array to determine which pages require DMA unmapping. However, drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() clears the array as part of its cleanup, leaving drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() with no valid page information if it is called afterward. Call drm_pagemap_migrate_unmap_pages() before drm_pagemap_migration_unlock_put_pages() so the pages array remains valid during DMA unmapping.
OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway. Prior to 0.23.5, the GET /api/sessions/{sessionId}/groups/{groupId}/invite-code endpoint and the GroupGetInviteCode MCP tool have no OPERATOR role requirement, allowing a valid VIEWER key scoped to a session to retrieve an active group invite code. The invite code is a transferable WhatsApp bearer capability, so an external account can join a group administered by the session without an OpenWA credential, gain read and post access to the group, and retain membership after the VIEWER key is revoked. Affected deployments are those that issue VIEWER keys to parties who should not be able to add accounts to administered groups; OPERATOR and ADMIN access is intended. This issue is fixed in version 0.23.5.
OpenWA is a free, open source, self-hosted WhatsApp API gateway. Prior to 0.23.5, the /events WebSocket gateway delivers the session.qr event to a VIEWER API key that subscribes by event name or through either wildcard subscription form, even though GET /api/sessions/{sessionId}/qr requires the OPERATOR role. When an allowed session is waiting to be paired, the exposed QR lets the key holder link an external device to the WhatsApp account and then read and send messages outside OpenWA and its audit trail. Keys restricted through allowedSessions remain limited to those sessions, and deployments that issue only OPERATOR or ADMIN keys are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.23.5.
Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, the Discourse post sanitizer allowed a stored cross-origin iframe to bypass the allowed_iframes prefix policy when the iframe src contained encoded userinfo. The sanitizer validated a decoded form differently from the stored iframe src, allowing the browser to interpret an attacker-controlled host while the allowlist check accepted the encoded URL as an allowed prefix. An authenticated user with posting privileges could persist the iframe in a post and cause attacker-controlled cross-origin content to be rendered. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.
Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, authenticated users could supply unescaped SQL LIKE metacharacters to upload-resolution patterns, causing wildcard input to select unrelated upload records instead of matching a literal identifier. The affected upload metadata, URL-lookup, and cooked-video-placeholder paths could resolve uploads the user was not authorized to access. This allowed disclosure of restricted metadata, including original filenames and secure-upload paths, without modifying the upload records. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.
Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, sites using wildcard patterns in the allowed_iframes setting could accept a crafted iframe URL whose allowlisted suffix appeared after a URL authority separator. The wildcard origin check matched the allowed domain text, while browser URL parsing selected a different attacker-controlled origin. A user with posting privileges could exploit the flaw through a post or a Onebox oEmbed response and cause an attacker-controlled iframe to be rendered independently of the allowlisted domain. Successful exploitation requires a site-configured wildcard iframe pattern and the ability to create a post or trigger an oEmbed request for an attacker-controlled URL. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.
Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, the iframe src traversal guard did not treat literal backslashes as path separators after decoded dot segments. A crafted source could therefore pass an allowed_iframes subpath check while browser URL normalization moved the iframe outside the intended allowed path. The resulting iframe could load content from a location that the administrator did not allow. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.
Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0, the video placeholder component allowed crafted HTML to cause an attribute breakout and inject an attacker-controlled event handler. An authenticated user with default trust-level posting privileges could store the crafted placeholder in a post. When another user opened the post and clicked the video play overlay, the handler could execute arbitrary JavaScript in the viewer's session. Default Content Security Policy settings block inline event handlers, but instances with CSP disabled or relaxed could allow the script to read page content and make authenticated requests as the viewer. This issue is fixed in versions 2026.1.8, 2026.6.3, 2026.7.2, and 2026.8.0.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in jslGetTokenValueAsString() in Espruino 2v29 (commit bffc6d0) allows crafted JavaScript input containing an overlong token to trigger a one-byte write beyond the JsLex.token buffer in RELEASE/NO_ASSERT builds. The out-of-bounds write corrupts the adjacent tokenValue pointer, resulting in memory corruption and potentially causing application crashes or denial of service.
Mini-XML 4.0.5 contains a memory leak vulnerability in mxml_load_data() during malformed XML parsing. Specially crafted XML input can cause text nodes allocated by mxmlNewText() to become unlinked before a parse error transfers control to the cleanup path. These orphaned nodes are not released, resulting in a persistent memory leak on each parsing attempt. Repeated attacker-controlled requests can cause cumulative memory exhaustion and denial of service.
OpenEXR 3.4.14 contains a NULL Pointer Dereference in the C++ attribute parsing path. A specially crafted EXR file containing an unknown-type attribute with dataSize set to zero causes the parser to create an opaque attribute with a NULL packed_data pointer. The OpaqueAttribute constructor passes the NULL pointer to memcpy() without validating the zero-size condition, resulting in undefined behavior and process termination, leading to denial of service.
libical 4.0.6 contains an incompatible function pointer in icalparameter_string_to_kind(). When parsing iCalendar data containing a parameterized property, the function passes icalparameter_compare_kind_map() to bsearch() through an incompatible comparator function pointer type. bsearch() invokes the callback through the mismatched type, resulting in undefined behavior and process termination, leading to denial of service.
hiredis commit 29ea279 (post-v1.5.0) contains an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in its RESP aggregate parser.
QuickJS commit 04be24600 contains a heap out-of-bounds write condition in JS_ReadFunctionTag().
Bento4 1.6.0.0 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in the avcC and hvcC configuration atom parsers. A specially crafted MP4 file containing an atom with a declared size smaller than AP4_ATOM_HEADER_SIZE can cause AP4_AvccAtom::Create() or AP4_HvccAtom::Create() to underflow the payload-size calculation. The resulting oversized buffer operation can cause invalid or NULL pointers to be passed to the AP4_DataBuffer copy path, resulting in application termination and denial of service.
Bento4 1.6.0.0 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in AP4_AvccAtom::Create() and AP4_HvccAtom::Create(). A specially crafted MP4 file containing an avcC or hvcC atom with a declared size smaller than the atom header size can cause the payload-size calculation to wrap to a large unsigned value. The resulting invalid buffer allocation and copy operations can cause application termination, leading to denial of service.
libde265 commit 4d45a6b contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the NAL parsing path. When de265_push_NAL() is called with a zero-length NAL unit, the resulting NAL_unit may retain a NULL backing buffer, which is subsequently passed as the destination argument to memcpy() in NAL_unit::set_data(). Although the copy length is zero, this violates the nonnull requirement of memcpy() and results in undefined behavior, causing process termination in UBSan-instrumented builds and denial of service.
